Much like many other railroad bridges in our area, abutments for this bridge were made from cut stone from a bygone era and were in need of maintenance. We supported the beams of the structure while pouring a new bearing seat and back wall. New wingwalls were also added using pile and concrete lagging all while maintaining rail traffic on this busy route.
